I like this song because my Dec. in 2004 sucked so much. I can listen to something I can relate to.

Josh wrote the song, but it wasn't autobiographical. From what I understand, it made for some interesting conversation at the dinner table around the holidays though. I never saw the correlation of a failed relationship for the child, so much as his parents' relationship was crashing all around him and he's chronicling it through the holiday season. Or maybe that's just because that's how it happened for me.

hey ForgetDecember do you even know what homely means? Homely means ugly. And he's saying it's ugly, not pretty. So he would say "it's not so homely anymore." He's saying holy because the month of december involves christmas (which he's talking about), and it's a silent, HOLY night.

This song's got a really deep meaning for me - this time last year, my ex and I got back together after a very rocky relationship Feb-April. I remember the moment last October (03), when I thought everything might just work out with her and me, when I walked in on her and her new boyfriend. She kept denying she was with him, and turning all my friends against me in the process, but I was stupid and believed the lies, for another 2-3 months, til December... when I found out the truth. Right now I *really* want to forget December.
