this song out there. Something Corporate usually uses pretty basic power chords, but
this song is an exception.

| Zach i think he means that when he is around her he is somewhat of a different person and that he would continue to be like that for her because he cares so much if only she would stay at least thats what i get out of it | |

| Almost a year later prayingmantis I agree with the sequel to "Globes and Maps" Just the tone of the songs and the way hes talking to the same person it sounds like. "Globes and Maps" ends without really finishing the story of the song but "Miss America" sort of gives you a flash forward of how GandM's ends. There are a few different ways to take the end of the story but all of them are to the point. | |

| i think this song is about a guy and a girl meeting, and the guy falls hard on the girl, but the girl doesn't feel the same say. the girl is leaving, but the guy is devestated. he's saying he's gonna write a note to her so she'll remember him | |

| i love this song. i especially like the lyrics "I don't care if you don't love me I don't care if you don't change. I will live inside this shadow that i cast for you If it meant that you would stay" oh, and also "You don't have to see me this way, cause this way i'm okay" simply a beautiful song. as for the meaning... hrm... so he's in love with this girl that he met. and she doesnt feel the same way. she's all "i'm sorry but i dont like you like that" and he gets upset and gets stoned in his hotel room. and maybe he gets this idea to write her a letter hoping she'll change her mind, and give him another chance... and he tells her that he'll wait forever ("i'll hold my breath for you") and that he doesnt care if she doesnt love him or doesnt really change her mind about him just so long as she stays with him... really sad if you think about it. DAMMIT i love this band!! | |
