	i think the straw dog is soposed be a metaphor for her. Its like saying the her life is going nowhere and sooner or later shes gonna die (the straw dog will get hit by a car) but she isnt really doing anything about.. 	I agree with the last person. I always thought this song was about using drugs and the straw dog was something the girl saw when she was high or tripping
