| soundgarden were not quite as devoleped as a band at this stage than towards their later career even so i am pretty sure this song is about a particular event or person, someone that has double standards that may whinge about things then does them herself "see through your" means u can see through this mask, and lists beahviours of this person the next verse says that cornell falls for it sometimes but only just"loosely buying your cheating,your lying" i think to know this person is a struggle, "with my head in a sack and i fell like i'm tied to a railroad track" | |

| This song is awesome! It took awhile to get the lyrics down, but once I did, its an awesome song to sing along to. Love the part around 3:15 when he sings it in monotone, sounds evil and chant-like. As for the meaning I gotta agree with ThayilBeGod. | |
