	Gran canción que quizá ha sido poco valorada. Lo digo en español porque este es mi idioma materno y no me interesa lo que piensen uds. los de habala inglesa. Háganse un favor bien grande y dense cuenta que en cierta forma están relacionadas canción y video-, por cual, es díficil interpretarlas por separado. En cuanto a la letra si bien es pesimista, ya que según Chris este mundo está lleno de rencor y falsa felicidad, nosotros mismos podemos explotar esa falaz realidad que nos entrega la televisión y la sociedad materialista-consumista . No sólo se trata de quejarse de los conceptos errados que entregan explícita e implícitamente los medios de comunicación (felicidad mediante el abuso del alcohol, drogas; sexo sin amor como búsqueda final del placer; racismo; violencia; abuso biotecnológico), sino que además como éstos mismos nos provocan en nuestro interior odio y caos con el resto del mundo, como nos aislan de nostros mismos; y paradójicamente transformándonos con este, rencor hacia resto del mundo, en seres desdichados . No obstante, en muchas entrevistas el Chris Cornell declaró que a veces no quiere expresar nada en concreto y que además no le importa cambiar el mundo ni nada por estilo, que sólo lo hace porque refleja en sí lo que siente y no necesariamnte lo que piensa; incluso muchas veces se le ha criticado por eso. Quizá la visión que tiene él del mundo no sea la mejor y las más esperanzadora, pero siente que sus letras son sinceras y a pesar de que aparenta no importarle el mundo yo creo que si le interesa, pues nunca hubiese escrito una canción como esta. Uno de los problemas graves hoy en día somos nosotros mismos y lo que pensamos y creemos, en realidad, si todos pudiesemos entender en sí la vida misma como lo es y no como nos imponen no habría tanto caos y confusión. Mientras más sabemos del mundo menos sabemos de nostros mismos. El conocimiento es una arma de doble filo, se manipula en favor de la sed del mismo, ocasionando daño a quienes se les considera "ignorantes e inferiores". Pude haberlo escrito en inglés, mas no lo quise. Espero que este ensayo humilde sea de ayuda.

	this song reminds me of the book 1984, and at the same time reminds me of the news on everynight feeding bullshit into our numb minds and how if we try hard enough we can regain control of our own reality and blow those foreign thoughts out of our minds if we don't want them
