omg this song is about buttsex im the one heading for the bottom notice head like head of the penis and bottom is another word for ass Now for my actual interpretation of the song. The first 2 verses seem to be talking about being pissed off about getting screwed over or ignored by bosses, government, some other person, or just society in general. The chorus is an "I'm not tolerating this bullshit anymore" thing (but I'm riding you all the way) and the 3rd verse to me is saying something like "now that I've died (or quit, left, etc.) you want me back and are finally sorry for treating me like crap."

To me this song represents him getting drunk and recieving a DUI/DWI. He states "I'm barely listening to last demands." He also uses smeared black ink like fingerprinting. Also, when the stranger has his door key it is the cop who locked him in. He is just visiting the jail and will eventually leave. This is his "gaudy apartment complex" He is clearly an alcoholic when he says "the only that is keeping me dry is where I am" he is in jail and alcohol is obviously unavailable. Lastly the one that made it clear to me was the line "The district sleeps alone tonight after the bars turn out their lights And send the autos swerving into the loneliest evening And i am finally seeing why i was the one worth leaving" He was the one worth leaving meaning his sober state of mind.

to me, this song is about an obsessed and humiliated man who rapes a cockteaser. this makes a lot of sense. notice the conotation of "i'm riding you", "now i am above", "i'm sure you know that i'm here", "now i send you a message of love" etc.

Dumbasses all of you. See the title? What are ppl afraid of at work? Somebody coming in to work with an assault rifle, and enough ammo to kill a small village. Somebody going "postal". This is about a man who has had enough bs spoon-fed to him at work, tired of being the rug everybody wipes their shitty shoes on, tired of not being heard. But not anymore, no way baby, cuz tomorrow when I see that little bitch at her desk talking on the phone to her hairdresser and not getting those papers like i asked for, Im gonna grab that little bitch by her neck and.....whoa. excuse, sorry about that, umm, *ahem* well now, how about them Lakers?

Personally, I had always thought perhaps this song was literally about a mailman who had gone postal. But some of what everybody else has to say makes sense. I can especially see the "'lower ranking' people of society being put down by the 'higher ups' of society" idea.

I'm agreeing with you chrisdku...except in my case it's about a guy.Even though his "kisses turned to spit in my face"and all that he's doing now is reminding me which is my place...I still love him.I'm hoping someday I will be above him...and become that "mailman" Chris is talking about.

Listening to it, I always think it's about a man who thinks he has nothing left. He's just "headed for the bottom" and he knows it's just a matter of time, so he's going to give up being what everybody else wanted him to be and take revenge on everything that had turned him into what he became as his last act of enjoyment before his inevitable death.
