"Take the bait, eat the fruit and kiss the snake goodnight" The snake would be the lover, clearly. Deceptive, luring him in with sweet promises (Apple) As said in the first comment, it looks good at the time, but turns out to be a very bad idea. I love this song

i agree with marksl, its about things that look good but really arent
