At the end, you can tell he's saying "Alive". Towards the begining, it's more difficult to tell.

one - I thought it was "ALONE in the superunknown", I know they released a record with the other line, but I thought that was a play on this song. and this one rhymes too, yay! two - the meaning of the song to me is that you are the only one with your perspective in this life, no-one else feels about anything the same way you do. You're just placed into this universe with no idea what to trust as to what exactly is going on - its superunknown. Haven't you ever felt that the whole universe is just a fabrication, all you have is the information streaming in through your senses and you are the only thing in it that you can trust? three - I mostly love this song for the rockin' bassline that comes in after "If you don't want to be seen" and also the one just before the chorus. Hell yeah.

It really sounds like he's saying ALONE in the superunknown throughout the whole song to me. And i guess it could be about drugs but i really think that it sounds more like what the earlier posts were saying.

The Superunknown is Life...There are things we don't know--may never know--and we have to accept that fact. Also, some things in life aren't always black and white, either/or: "If this isn't what you see It doesn't make you blind If this doesn't make you feel It doesn't mean you've died"
