| This could very well be my favorite song of all time. It seems as if its about someone who is totally emotionally stable, not necisarily happy or sad, but just comfortable with where they are at, what has happend to them, and looks at the future with a good attitude. | |

| With the way I'm figuring out the song, its seeming really complicated. Starting with the "connect with a dream" part. I had to keep goin' back and forth. In a dream, if something goes wrong, theoretically you can wake up and it'll all be a memory. Of course the song uses a metaphor. So..."what will change us or will we mess up" What will make you learn from your mistake, or will you learn nothing and mess up your life by repeating it until you get it? "Our only chance to connect with a dream" To make it like a dream, you'd make a mistake, fix it, and it'll seem like a 'bad dream.' So they're comparing learning from your mistakes to waking up from a dream. Being "changed" rather than "messing up" connects you with a dream. The chorus is self-explanatory. But remember you say "OF a world of human wreckage", then "IN a world of human wreckage". Also, I guess this guy "Can't touch the ground" because he's "plowed" or being forced into the sound of human wreckage. "To see wide open with a head that's broken" and the line that follows, when you've been "broken" by this problem you have, you understand someone else's problem which may be similar to your own. Since you're plowed into the sound, make it a good thing. Be plowed into "the message that is the seed." The "seed" grows and represents an understanding. I guess all my babbling made some since to someone...nice song anyway. | |
