Awesome song, i was surprised when i found no tabs anywhere,
so i decided to do it myself, here it is, should be mostly correct,
if not completely

Dropped one half step from standard
Tuning: Eb Ab Db Gb Bb eb

names are relative to tuning, which means, play the chords
as you would in standard tuning...
Not sure what the name of the first chord is...
I know its some C chord tho, lol...
ok so some chords are named wrong, but i have the right chord written
im only human, lol n e ways......
If a chord has a star by it, theres additional info below it  

KEY:
~ = let the note ring for a short while, if theres multiple ones in 
sucsession then let it ring longer
/ = slide up
 = slide down
x = mute

Solo (uses wah pedal): listen to recording for wut to do with the pedal
at the end theres some heavly distorted slides from the fourth fret down and back
to the fourth, use the wah pedal and be creative, this last section that i have marked 
is almost impossible to decipher so make it interesting, it goes on a little more, play 
around with it a bit and see what you can come up with...

	i love the first part of this song, and the "Feels the power of the engine as she climbs to 65 Every piston sounds like freedom, every white line says goodbye" is especially cool not a fan of the rest of the song sadly

	Yeah I just kinda discovered this song. I got this CD from a friend and put it on my computer with a library of 2500 or so songs...i can't exactely listen to all of them, but one day I randomly clicked on this song, and I'm obsessed with it. Its beautiful, powerful, and meaningful all at the same time. Great stuff. Now i suppose i should listen to some more of their stuff. And I agree with Punker girl on the meaning...pretty self explanatory.

	This is one of the most kick ass songs in the album! the change of tunes is great. It's about a woman that's involve in a relashionship with a violent man. One night she decides to leave "the bruises far behind" so she drives away "and every white line says good bye." "The night she never felt so alive even though it feels so cold outside It's the first time I've ever seen her smile." She is finally happy for leaving him. "See another day in each new sun, cause your life has just begun" Is one of my favorite lines in the song. It just transmits the feeling of moving on...

	when i saw them live with dexter freebish, they actually told the story behind it, as ROsniper18 said. it was so powerful to hear them do it live. there was silence after they finished. and i love how the verses are sensative, and quiet, and the chorus has that jarring reality.

	I can't believe how.... not too many people like SR-71... They are an AWESOME band. This song is so good, and thanx for the info on it ROsniper. This song gets to me everytime I listen to it... like ever SR-71 song does.
