| I think it's a lot more about being single for a long time, becoming content with being single, then getting back in to a relationship only to feel the forgotten pain of loss again. I say that, because that's what happened to me. I'd been single for 5 years, then I got involved with someone, and after she left I remembered how different it was to wake up alone. | |

| i always remember my girlfriend when i hear this song (i have both the cassette and the cd of this record)...here's why: it was her 19th birthday when we went to my place and just stayed there for the whole night..we made love the first in OUR lives (i could tell),and then we fell asleep just holding each other..when i woke up,i found she only had a couple of hours sleeping and was just watching me sleep the whole time..i loved her more because of that..we're still together up til now, and i'll be going home tomorrow to see her on her birthday... God, i miss the girl... | |

| I really love this song among many other SW songs. They're my fav band and I have all of their cds. I just hope they get back together soon cuz I wanna hear more of them. I love Chris's voice and the band's lyrics. It just hits home I guess. A lot of emotions and endless amounts of stuff coming out from within...their lyrics are pretty powerful and are honest. WUBY is sad but also something u can really imagine cuz the descriptions are so vivid. | |

| In my opinion, this is one of the best songs ever written. So I felt I had to post the full lyrics to it... And anyways, this song is pretty much the story of my life... so there's not much else to be said. | |

| I read most of these posts and no one seemed to mention what the song is actually about. My understanding of the Darkest Days CD is that it was written when Chris' (the lead singer) girlfriend passed away. Its a really powerful song and I believe extremely well done. The whole CD itself is one of the saddest discs I've ever listened to though. | |

| This song is very obviously about missing someone, missing sleeping next to the love of your life, and waking up next to them as well. I believe i've read somewhere that christopher said this was his favorite stabbing westward song. I think it was on www.darkestdays.net | |

| Although my love is not gone forever, he is far away. Whenever we're together, I can't help but think of this song as I truly do try and memorize every inch of him. I never knew I could be so consumed by the thought of one person. I miss him when he's gone. I know the feeling that was put into this song. To memorize all of those things about someone is very difficult. It's an awful feeling when you're with someone that makes you so happy and complete but you can't escape the lingering fact that they have to leave soon and it will be what seems an eternity before you're together again. I'm so beyond lucky that he's worth waiting for. | |

| Four years ago I woke up next to someone I had met the night before. We were out in a largeish group, all on the lash, particularly me, and when I had had more than was good for me she took me back to hers in a taxi with a couple of her friends after the last tube had gone. I didn't fancy her at the time but thought, "How nice." I woke up next to her the following day and had a powerful feeling of joy, comfort and gratitude and we had sex. She said she didn't do one night stands and I wanted to see her again, but had no plans to start a relationship with her. We've been an item on and off since then. She fell in love with me and she's quite clear about that but I've always been confused about my feelings for her. I have the same feelings of comfort each time I wake up with her and I haven't been able to move on. It's screwing us up! Somebody slap me! | |
