I love this song :) And I hate to break it to you, but... she's a Christian singer. Her music is Christian. So we're not shoving it down anyone's throat by saying that. Yes, you can interpret it anyway you want and maybe to you it's not about God, but she's still a Christian singer, so you can't say it's absolutely NOT about God. Here's a brief biography of her if you don't believe me... http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:fxfpxqlkld6e~T1 And I don't mean to be rude, I'm not directing this at anybody, I just see that a lot on Christian songs and it's kind of annoying.

there's more to life then taking drugs & doing the same shit every single day. she's saying you don't have to get high in order to enjoy life, & even when she's high, she's thinking about how much more there is.

the lyrical content of this song is crap. It was really popular in Australia... wonder why no-one commented on it?

well i was talking with my friend about this song once and we both had about the same view on one possible meaning and we both thought it had to deal with drugs. It just made a lot of sence because of the refrence to chasing that temporary high, and at the beging she talking about going up and coming back down and feeling emptier inside. well thats what we thought!

Well that was exactly the way I felt right before I became a christian...I had been asking myself for quite a while, there has to be more than this? is this truly what life is?? and then I found Jesus Christ! and that's when I found the meaning to what life is supposed to be. blessings to all! - Rita

I don't thinx it's about God and religeon either. But I don't belive in God, don't read bible or go to church so it would be weird if I thought like that. I agree with chibinezu, maybe there's more to life than God. I think it's about waisting your life. She could be singing about missing love or something like that.

This song means that obviously there's more to life then what the world gives us. We can have everything here on earth and yet feel like there's still something out there that we need. We find ourselves looking in all directions to find what's missing in our lives. To me and a lot of other people. That one thing is Jesus Christ. Just think about it. :-) Shon

I love this song, its really upbeat and has a great meaning to it... if ppl stopped to really think about it, there HAS got to be more to life than this. Most people don't think that they will find all the answers in Jesus Christ, but He is the ONLY one who wants to give u all u've ever wanted. please, please don't ignore that, coz He's just the greatest thing EVER!!!

Pardon my language but I'm in a real crappy mood right now. Don't ever say there's more than God! He's more than anything!

Anybody could make their own interpretations of the song, it's their own opinion. So don't say it's *just* all about God, because for some others it could be about something else too! Anyways, I think this song is about wanting something more. Maybe perhaps she was bored with everyday life; it has gotten so routinely that she feels like she's a robot. That's my take on it.

in all the times i've listen to this song while i got the obvious statement that there is more to life.. i never once thought it had anything to do with god. there's more to life than god e_e I always got the impression that the song was about someone who was stuck in a rut in their life and thinking that there must be more out there than what they currently have but they can't seem to get at that and time just keeps to be passing as the person is thinking this.

To me, this song is about her wanting more out of life then what she is "supposed" to do. Get a job, get a place, get a man? Either way, she wants to know if there is anything more to this life then just going moment to moment trying to find something to keep her happy for a minute... she wants something that lasts.

It means that there's more to life than what everybody else does and has. You've gotta be yourself and trust God because there's more to life than the shit the world gives us and God is what that is. Mock me if you want but remember, I'm already a bitch and you talking about me will totally boost my ego and your ass will get kicked by someone like me!!!!
