| I've heard, um, IDEAS that this song pertains to Michelle Nolan. There's rumours that Michelle cheated on Adam, along with the rumours that he cheated on her. So you could apply it to Michelle. Another line that I think is the strongest supporter of this being about Michelle is the line of, "before your folks are up and lookin' for some answer." Folks = John. Obviously John and Michelle are close; they're in a band together. So I think it's obvious that he'd look out for her. If the Straylight Run songs "Toolsheds and Hot Tubs" and "Now It's Done" are about Michelle and Adam, maybe Adam wanted to add his two cents. Who knows? Just another idea out there. | |

| I think this song is about a boy who is having a secret relationship with a girl who has a boyfriend. The boyfriend could either be his best friend or someone else. Anyways she can't leave the boyfriend because she still loves him, even though he probably doesn't even treat her right and the boy is inlove w\ her and wants to know what makes him second best and why she thinks he'd be better at doing what he does best | |

| I think Faint of Hearts, sosound, and Fanboy3 all nailed the meaning of this song. Collectively, I think this song is about a teenage boy having sex with a teenage girl who is taken. Why else would she be slipping back into her dress? Why else would he be worried about her folks? Why else would he be saying, "do you think he'd be better at doing what I do best"? | |

| this guy is in a relationship with a girl.. and the girl is obviously in a relationship also with another guy.. it's a story about him, regretting being with her to start, but really wanting her, wondering what the other guy has, that he doesnt.. | |

| comparing this cd to Tell all is like comparing Brand New's Deja entendu to Your favorite weapon... in my opinion this cd is better than tell all your friends I think this song is about a guy who lost his girlfriend to like a "bad boy" type of guy and he is angry cuz he is the gentleman of the two guys...its like a nice guys finish last situation and he isnt happy about it | |

| my friend and i think this song it about a boy that's sneaking into a girls house and they are having sex"im blowing smoke out of your window and your slipping back into your dress" and her parents dont know about it and "before your folks are up and looking for some answers" and he's upset at her"do you think he'd be better at doing what i do best" by the end because i girl who's sneaking you up to her room for sex probably isnt the most faithful girl and she probably isnt "such a lady" but that's just me | |

| Adam told that this song is about "what your boyfriend does when you're not around" I don't know what that really means but lets just use our heads and say it's probly about some form of cheating | |

| well obviously it starts right after they just DID IT, because he's smoking and she's getting dressed. and he's thinking maybe her parents are gonna get on to him about them DOING IT. Then somehow she's thinking about another boy, and he's like, "for pete's sake, do you really think he could DO YOU better than I do? for pete's sake! it's what I do best!!" | |
