| actually at the end of the song I think it's "you want the best I'll stick around" instead of "you light the match" but whatever i could be wrong.....but this is an awesome song....best part is the "well one of us never did it, but we're taking it all" .... i honestly don't know what it means..but it's possibly possible about john | |

| Don't mean to be a dick...but luckydramaqueen... the fist fight reference is meant to be sarcastic.. because he says "a long night means a fist fight against your pillow and my pearly whites" of course meaning she's/he is doing him in the butt, the pillow-whitey is a term often used for that kind of thing. and in the lyrics sheet is says "my pillow and your pearly whites...so it goes both ways with sarcasm if it's to john, and just it's true meaning in the lyrics sheet. | |

| Iamthescene is right this song isn't about John or the Brand New crap beacauce they played it live when John was still with the band. That 'feud' that you are talking about too place probably about 3 years ago everything there has been cleared up and John and Jesse are friends once again. So this has nothing to do with any of that stuff. | |

| yeah, its preyy much a 'fuck you' to brand new. Its that whole feud .. i think ryan had with jessie. Jessie stole his girl, so ofcourse, they got in a lot of arguments. Im not the biggest tbs fan, so i forgot the song.. but they have asong that's similar to brand new's 70 Times 7... because ryan and jessie were cowriting the songs (they did that a lot) and then they had their bad shit, and they both took the lyrics to that song and used it. But yeah... i like tbs more :) .. thought soco and play crack the sky are very pretty | |

Do you know anyting about when after they broke, john's mom saying something like "you should start a band with your sister... she's a much better singer" or something along those lines? I was just thinking about tbs today. And now fred (i think thats his name), the one that replaced john... and they sound a lot alike, just with less passion or what not. But can't you just sort of imagine Adam on stage, and he closes his eyes as he's singing, and blocks out the details of fred's voice, and just pretends that its john next to him, singing. It made me kind of sad | |
