Verse 2 is the same as the 1st but there's also some lead guitar, which I haven't tabbed
yet!

Then just play the chorus until the end and there you have it...

i really think this song could be a fuck you to jessie and brand new. i think it's saying that they used brand new for stuff like fans and what not. and the shirts "mics are for singing not swinging" and adam says "i never asked for your opinion, i just got it. and i get it". i dunno these things kinda struck me. and maybe BN's songs are "boring". and the use of sunday best and passing out in the beginning. and the end with the chanting. maybe jessie and adam got in a lot of arguments, that being for the verse about fighting... this is just what i think. sweet song, best on new cd i think.

The same words don't have to be used in the same way. No, I had not heard of that reference before, but I wasn't implying that they meant the same thing. I was contributing phrases from this song that are similar to old stuff.

this song def has nothing to do with john or michelle, cause tbs was playing this song live when john was still in the band

at first when i heard this song, i thought of soco armetto lime, but have any of you ever listened to me vs maradona vs elvis, the intro to me sounds a lot like soco armetto lime, and in this song... they say " im lying just to keep you here"... and in me vs maradona vs elvis, they say "lie for fun and fake the way i hold you.." i think its related to soco armetto lime and me vs maradona vs elvis because of the layout and the lyrics

The "fist fight" reference was also in There's No "I" in Team. There's no way this song isn't related to the Jesse/John/Adam stuff, because the lyrics and style are just too close

i'm pretty sure that it was john's idea for straylight. he asked shaun to join him. the got his sister. then we breaking pangaea broke up (fred, now of TBS's old band), he got the drummer of that band to play drums for straylight. but about the mom thing i'm not 100%, i've never heard about it though.

Could this song be any more like Brand New- Soco Amaretto Lime? Don't get me wrong... I love TBS... but there are so many similarities. The guitar in the beginning... the first words (Passed out/sunday best)... and the the whole group singing the last line over and over... real weird. Give them both a listen and lemme know if you think I'm crazy.

acually "punkprime" all that 70 time 7 and no i in team shit has been cleared. but upon john leaving TBS, more drama has been started between the bands. jessie favors john over adam, so jessie feels its nessicary to side with john. therefore, he basiclly wants nothing to do with TBS anymore eather. AND the whole song was re-written, they just kept the title. at www.thisisnotemo.com there is a live video of the song and they are not a like at all, even the lyrics you can tell arent. fuck yeah!

i think this song is about john, for two obvious reasons, "and I'm boring like his songs" and glasshouse, if you noticed in 'Follow The Format' adam used a glasshouse, and in this song he also uses a glasshouse, and we all know 'follow the format' is about straylight run, just my opinion...

yeah, I definitely noticed the 'Soco Amaretto Lime' reference at the beginning, and I also thought it had to do with John, and John's sister, so what i_rock said makes sense about the song being re-written and all. I think this song was just a way for Adam to trash the Nolan's and Jesse, in a subtle way. And it also seems like this song, was made into a slower song to try to say that 'Soco Amaretto Lime', was fake and just made to be a slow song to get people to feel a certain way, and maybe also a poke at Straylight because it is crafted much the same way as a Straylight song, but I could be wrong about that. Anyway, regardless of all the meanings, this song is awesome, one of the best on the new cd

sorry, john, not ryan. I heard adam dated john's sister... and like since adam's a major pimp and all, he probably fucked her, and john got was pissed over it. I mean, i love adam and all, but fucking your bestfriend's sister is kind of messed up. But that's just a rumor... anyony know?
