I had a better friend in my worst of plans then I ever had in either one of you Does anyone think that refers to the ex guitarist and the ex bassist? Just wondering

i was a fan of TAYF but this cd takes TBS to a new level for me. after hearing WYWTB my opinion of TBS completely changed, sure TAYF was a good cd, but WYWTB made me appreciate what TBS does so well. ive heard so many people outside of the "punk" community talking about how much they love this album.

Would I have a better friend if I was so blessed? Would I have a better friend if I were one of you? he definitely says, "either" in the last line...

definetly about the whole John Nolan And Shaun Cooper leaving the band. abd how thier frienship ended. aparently adam hasnt talked to either of them since. "i never made a scene, they came to me" i read in an interview with john and shaun after the breakup and the ywere saying how adam tried to attract attention to himself wherever he went, ect. "I had a better friend in my worst of plans Than I ever had in either one of you." without a doubt refering to shaun and john.

I'm not dissapointed with the new TBS, because i've realised that you cant compare to TAYF. It was/is a fkn good album, but those heights have been reached in that album, TBS never meant to reach them again, but they are still TBS, and i still love the new album.

I was just wondering who writes the majority of the songs for TBS is it adam the lead singer or that guitarist who founded the band? It sounds like it would be the lead singer coz it usually is but I always wanted to know coz their lyrics are so beautiful its not like a lot of other bands, TBS's lyrics seem heaps more in depth and sound like they mean so much more to the person singing them, and their so easy to relate to.

Adam and the guitarist have always shared the song writing task. On the first album Adam and John wrote the songs, with John probably contributing a bit more than Adam. On the new album Adam and Fred wrote the songs. I think they've stayed very true to TBS' sound despite losing hlaf of the original song writing equation. And this song is most definitely tied to John and Shaun.

exit152 is right. Those songs are really rare tracks that were never recorded in a studio but were performed on tour. Both songs were written whilst Adam Lazarra was out of comission for his hip. He wrote them when he was doped up on pain killers. Finally, someone else who knows the band! exit, you must be friends with them to know that. I think i talked to you once when we were on the tour bus with TBS...haha remember the whipped cream? haha that was so funny! lol U should email me sometime cuz Matt and Mark miss you! ;) YOU ARE NOT A SNOWFLAKE!!

"that guitarist who founded the band is Eddie Reyes, he was also in The Movielife, and "the metal song", and i'm no gay(i just wish i were)" are both TBS songs that were written while john and shaun were still in the band

I like this song a lot- I think this is one of the few TBS V.2 songs I've heard that tries to at least differentiate itself a tiny little bit- this doesn't come off as trying to be Taking Back Sunday. I don't love it, I like it a lot- it's catchy. It's not good enough to make me think this album isn't a dissapointment, though.

make a mixtape for her dood. but yea i'm not a big fan of this band or anything but i really like the new album. i keep hearing all this fuss about how it sounds like the old one and it won't be as good. i thought the first one sucked balls. this one has a lot more substance and the songs really seem to compliment eachother unlike the other one.

I disagree I bought TAYF when it came out and I bought WYWB when that came out too and I think that both albums are good but TAYF will always sound less defined, the harmonies are better in WYWB and the band sound much more professional. Although I love both albums very much I have to say after listening a few times WYWB is a better album in my opinion. This song is probably my FAVE TBS song ever aswell!
