	my favourite song on the album so far i think. not quite sure of the meaning tho.. possibly about a past relationship, something about keeping secrets from someone else.. and admiting that he shouldnt have or summit? "You have to, you just have to trust me Whoever I was then, I can't ever be again" i don't know how accurate i am, but its such an awesome song. i love the way adam sings "Reminders, they are not reluctant So stop me if you've heard this one before Sideways blinders, I can't find a way (around a way) around.." amazing.

	i dont know if TBS was influenced by The Smiths at all, but they have a song called "stop me if you've heard this one before". its about an abusive relationship and how the couple keeps lying to cover it up. so maybe after adam has been trying to cover something up, his gf found out something about his past (so long as you dont torture me with my past...a secret silenced is a secret safe) and he's reassuring her that he's changed (whoever i was then, i cant ever be again). just my opinion

	I like your interpretation of it, Clayne. Rereading, it makes a lot more sense. My interpretation seemed without an overall meaning, just trying to point out metaphors. Perhaps he is talking about rejecting "conformist" views of how we must worship God, but at the same time, not going as far as being nihilistic in his views.

	Again, like some of the other songs on this album, I feel like it is dealing with God. Perhaps someone close to him found God and he is having trouble dealing with his own beliefs. And for a real big stretch... Miami being a metaphor for sin? He knows he's been living a life of sin, and therefore doesn't want to be tortured for the things he did once, and that's his fear in accepting God in his life?? I'm sure I'll be torn apart for that one.

	Cut my comment once again: IMO this song is about a relationship, where one sied is hiding something about their past, possibly a story about an ex he can't quite get over with (miami being the place where he used to live and date this girl). He's trying to get over his past but he can't (can't find his way around miami). The line about the the terror of the wedding bells makes imagine all this as happening right before a wedding. They're trying to get all the details about their past settled right before tying the knot. And I suppose they do since he manages to convince her that what's done is done (Whoever i was then i will never be again, the comfort that there's noone else). Although the story about relationships is terribly cheesy, it's can be looked at more generally as quite good lyrics about starting again.

	john used to like the smiths when he was in the band...i dunno about the others but i'm sure he probably got them to listen to them at some point, even if they weren't interested. great song, the new album has a much more rock sound to it, rather than emo, which i think is good cos TAYF and WYWTB were both kinda lyrically along the same lines-the whole "relationship on the rocks" theme. three albums of that would've been pretty annoying...

	.... Adam's current girlfriend is from Florida. he mentioned it from one of those phone calls back in november when they called random fans. "heyyy, my lady's from florida!" and then i saw them april 1st and got to talk to them after and fred said adam wouldn't come out because he was lying on his bunk in the bus talking to his girlfriend. maybe this is about her? Maybe saying that yes, he did cheat in the past but that's not who he is now. wedding bells... he's not ready to get married yet, etc.

	To me it sounds like this guy's girlfriend is finding out little by little about his sketchy past and he feels the need to come clean but he would rather just start over eventho he's not sure he can handle it. He wants to commit to one girl who has already committed to him but he doesn't know if he can get out of the sinful life he's been so used to

	I Think this song is religious too.. but not really about "god".. For a couple reasons.. You have to, you just have to trust me -I think this line is playing off how some people are basically raised christian and to believe in the bible, but when they ask questions parents kind of gave them answers like "Trust it, its the bible, its god.." and whatnot. Whoever I was then, I can't ever be again -I think thats saying however he used to believe in what he did, he can't anymore.. The faith you found I never felt (never felt) ... -This is the one that kind of led me to my conclusion cause he actually says faith.. and how he hasn't felt it combined with.. "And comfort in there's no one else The truth be told I'm never gonna know" -how he is never going to really know until he's dead.

	Personally, I just think this song's about how the guy, he's been caught up with so many past relationships and all this crap happened in his past that now is almost terrified of getting married. He isn't who he used to be, and desperately wants to let go of the past --("Unhand me, Goddamn me, Miami") Before he had found comfort in thinking that no one was meant for him. Now he just wishes all his fears and his past to just go away. The guy feels helpless to knowing what's going to happen in his life and his future - "the truth be told i'm never gonna know"..
