It sounds like Stone or whomever is playing the chorus and outro
is using a slide, so I've indicated that with slide marks.
Just listen to the song to get the feel of it.

There is a solo...if anyone has any ideas, please send them in.

If you have any suggestions, comments, questions, etc., feel free
to e-mail me at niedermp@tony.bc.edu.

Thanks, and enjoy!

I take this song a different way. It seems to me that his four walled wall isn't an actual prison but it's this bad world he's created for himself that feels like a prison because he can't leave it or change it, not even for the woman he loves. He doesn't mention anything about committing a crime to get into prison so I think he's using it metaphorically. This girl loves him and is trying to rescue him but eventually she realises that it's impossible to change a person and that he doesn't actually want to change. "Well she tries and she tries But my feet just won't leave the ground ." Love this song coz I've been through a similar thing, loves Cornell's voice too, just below All Night Thing in my all-time favourites list.
