	I don't really listen to Soundgarden or Pearl Jam all that much, but Temple of the Dog was awesome, and this song especially shows how beautiful Cornell's voice is...amazing vocal performance!

	its not layne in the back ground because he wasnt part of Temple of the Dog, he was playing with Mad Season at the time, but as for the backup vocals i think it was either Matt Cameron or Stone Gossard, all though i could be wrong. But i know it wasnt Layne.

	i noticed this while listening to this song at work today............the backup vocals in the chorus sound an aweful llot like layne staley and jerry cantrell harmonizing. its not in the liner notes on the cd, but take a listen and tell me its not a deadringer for those 2. it would make sense too as they were good friends with andy wood too.

	the last parts of the song are lyrically touching. Chris's voice is so soothing, and is absolutely amazing. This song and 'All Night Thing' are my two favorite at this time.

	Beautiful song, and bngipson their is no question about what the song is about, read the earlier posts. I knew Cornell had a good voice, but this song is probably his best work.
