D#5s D#m7s C#5s C#m7s
This morning light met me in the closet

Finally found your fear and loathing

I swear I always meant to give it back

Now I don't know who to give it to

I close my eyes and I shut my mouth
A#5 C#5 D#5
Never though this would happen here

I got your letter

Can you see me read it?
G#5 D#5
Did you find what
A#5 G#5 C#5
You were looking for?
G#5 A#5 C#5 D#5
And now I would like to ask you
A#5 C5-C#5
Was it worth it?
A#5 C#5 D#5 A#5 C#5
But you won't, but you can't explain anymore
D#5s D#m7s C#5s C#m7s
We drive along in the lemons of our lives
D#5s D#m7s C#5s C#m7s
They'll pay attention to us

Gotta be strong, don't let them think you're wrong

A#5 C#5 C5
They found your rough draft in a garbage can

A#5 C#5 C5
I sent some flowers to your parent's house
A#5 C#5 C5
Couldn't drag myself to watch them put you down

I took a walk to where we used to eat
A#5 C#5 C5
Memory of your laughter filled my beer
A#5 C#5 C5
It's so unreal and I can't believe
A#5 C#5 D#5
I still expect to look up and find you here
CHORUS
End on a D#5r

| I agree with rbfboy212 although I think it is talking about a girlfriend who has killed herself, and he finds her suicide note and stuff. | |

| this song is about a suicide note. i would like to ask you was it worth it but you wont but you cant explain anymore asking if it was worth it to kill yourself. he walks and remembers his friend. he finds the note he found when the person was dead and hid it away and has nobody to give it to its like his only memory of his friend he still has and he really misses his friend | |
