This is a good song by the genious of Tenacious D.  It's is also 
a very simple 
simple song consisting of 3 chords! even a beginner could play 
it assuming he can 
play double bars.  It goes something like this:

D  E-5-       C  E-3-     Bb  E-1-
   B-7-          B-5-         B-3-
   G-7-          G-5-         G-3-
   D-7-          D-5-         D-3-
   A-5-          A-3-         A-1-
   E-5-          E-3-         E-1-

Those are the double bar chords, they are played like a bar chord 
with your ring
finger barring across the other 3 notes

then the song is like this:

INTRO( D, C, Bb )

Lee, Lee, Lee, Lee, 

D          C          Bb          C
Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee,

Note the pattern, just continue that pattern with the same (more 
or less) timing

On the rapid part just play the chord and quickly release the 
pressure on your 
fingers...DO NOT REMOVE THEM FROM THE FRETBOARD
