| I didn't know what this song meant until it poped into my head as a was reading a book about WWII, now it's obivous. it's about Allied soldiers fighting to Berlin so they can go home, that's why they can't leave the way they came in. ther budies keep dying and they ight be killed, so they are close to heaven and they are getting medals for bravery. They also think that peple in the future will forget about the war, and thier memory will be swept away in time. | |
