this is one of the more interesting versions of this song i have heard. they incorporate their double lead guitar into this classic song quite well. it sounds very little like the original or other versions i`ve heard, but still sounds pretty good.

i agree that Metallica's cover is better than TL's. the way Hetfield sings the words flows with the music while TL's singer kinda talks through it.

I only know the thin lizzy and metallica versions to be honest. i've read the reviews and think there all great. i personally really like the metallica version. i think the song tells a great story!

its a good irish folk song. the metallica cover was crap i hate metallica.phil lynott is good singer with an afro. its what makes thin lizzy great
