Normal Tuning - EBGDAE
Alternate way of Playing it (sounds great)
Play F# C# D#m B the whole way through
Same as E B C#m A with Capo 2

Verse 1:
F#
She fooled
C#
All of her friends into thinking she's so strong
D#m
But she still sleeps with the light on
B
And she acts like it's all right on
F#
As she smiles again
C#
And her mother lies there sick with cancer
D#m
And her friends don't understand her
B
She's a question without answers
F#
Who feels like falling apart
C#
She knows she's so much more than worthless
D#m
But she needs to find her purpose
B F#
She wonders what she did to deserve this and...

Chorus:
C#
Now I'm calling out to You
D#m
This is a call, this is a call out
B
Cause everytime I fall down
F#
I reach out to you
C#
And I'm losing all control now
D#m
And my hazard signs are all out

I'm asking you
B F#
to show me what this life is all about

Verse 2:
F# C#
And he tells everyone a story
D#m
Because he thinks his life is boring
B
And he fights, so you won't ignore him
F#
Because that's his biggest fear
C#
And he cries, but you'll rarely see him do it
D#m
And he loves, but he's scared to use it
B
So he hides behind the music
F#
Cause he likes it that way
C#
And he knows he's so much more than worthless
D#m
He needs to find the surface
B F#
Cause he's starting to get nervous and...

Chorus: [play once]

Bridge:
F# C#
Have you ever felt this way before
D#m
Cause I don't want to hide here anymore
B
Take me to a place where nothing's wrong, and
F#
Thanks for coming, shut the door
C#
And they say someone out there sees us
D#m
Well if you're real then save me Jesus
B
Cause I've been this way for far too long
F#
I wasn't meant to feel alone

Chorus: [play twice]

I love this song so much. I too, saw them live. They were my first and only concert that I have been too. They are amazing. This song was the last song they sing, and it was the acoustic version. Everyone just lifted their hands in the air, and sang along. Wow...I cant explain how emotional it was. At the end of the song, he started the course but then stopped singing and walked off stage. So, the whole crowd is singing...it was so beautiful.

This song is very simliar to OLP Innocent but I think the TFK version is much better. There is a better vibe and of course I'm a fan of the Christian side of it.

Sure, they probably did rip the song off. At the same time, its still a good song. You can whine about it all you want, but the fact is, TFK probably made a better song than Our Lady Peace did, assuming theyre similar. I say that because I was the guy in the second verse for most of my life, till I found God. Things change for the good when you find God, I think thats the message of this song.

I'm kinda' on a TFK kick right now,and I just really listned to this song for the first time. Honestly I can really relate to this song and I was nearly in tears. The bridge is especially moving to me,'cause lately I've been feeling like everyone around me is growing spiritually and I feel like I'm not. It's so frustrating and I get so depressed sometimes...anyway,awesome song. Incredibly written. TFK is an awesome band. "The say someone out there sees us Well, if you're real then save me Jesus, Cause I've been this way for far too long I wasn't meant to feel alone" Awesome...

I would have to agree with this song being a copy of "Innocent". TFK is really good but I think, they would be much more popular and recognizable if they didn't preach as much in their music. I have no problem with it at all, I just think they would be a bigger band. POD is IMO the biggest christian band, but there was all of that controversy whether they are/were a christian band, they also hardy ever preach in their music, which IMO is why they're the biggest christian band. Regardless TFK is one awesome band. I went to their concert last night, which was abosolutely awesome :D

this song just seems to bring me back down to earth. I can relaste tot his song so well(the part about the boy anyway) here's how he tells everyone story.... i lie ALOT when im bored to the point to where ill come up w/ the stupidest hings ever just to take the boredom away he fights so you wont ignore him.... i constantly get into fights w/ my brother and friends over some dumb things or attention he cries, but ull rarely see him do it..... if i cried in front of my friends id be considered a big wuss......so i dont cry until im in my room very late at night, so nobody will hear me He loves but hes scared to use it..... i love my girlfriend dearly, but im afraid to go to far with her because of her objections(no clue what she wants) and her mother's objections, too he hides behind the music......my only mental escape is music, some of my songs have actually kept me from suicide...... he's so much more than worthless..... i know i have serious potential in life, i just dont apply myself enough to actaully do anyhting he needs to find the surface..... i need to come out of my shell and express myself more but he's starting to get nervous..... i get really nervous when expressing myself(whether it be feelings, ideas, musically, emotionally, ect)

yes this song is similar to the our lady peace song, alot of Christian bands borrow main lyric lines from secular bands to show the world that not everybody is hopeless like many of the secular songs imply. TFK shows that with God's help these peoples lives dont have to end in suicide or anything like that. with our God there is hope for everyone... sinners, crack whores... anyone can be forgiven...

this song is just beautiful. I saw them live and it was amazing how everyone just calmed down and sang with it. I can totally relate to it
