| I think its about people's expectations being too high. He knows that he will never match up to what he is expected to be. And the 'When you finally trust me I will let you down' bit, is about when he does finally get the recognition and respect of them, that he'll still let them down, because he still isn't good enough. The 'waiting for you' bit is basically talking about how they are pressuring him to be perfect, just like their expectations. Just my meaning-- | |

| When I first heard it, it reminded me of my ex-boyfriend. I told him a lot of stuff, and I thought I could trust him, but he turned out to be a jerk, and sort of let me down. I think it’s a relatable song on the album, because I think most people have had someone let them down. | |

| I think that this song is about two people in a relationship and the one person keeps cheating on the other. Everytime the other person finds out, he/she apologizes and they get back together and it happens again. It's like just when their trust is building again, it gets smashed to pieces again. I dont know why but when I listen to this song, it reminds me of a circle because the lyrics are sort of repetitive. Yeah...I'm a freak :D | |

| To me, it reminds me of a friend who doesn't trust me. But yet he relies on me for almost everything. "Waiting for you to become one of us" for me, this line means I'm waiting for this person to become my friend. "You may be full of fear" means he's too ashamed of me to let any of his friends to know I'm his friend. "You'll be safe here/I'll be there when you need me" I'll be there when he needs me, and I'll keep him safe. "But when you finally trust me, finally believe in me, I will let you down" means that once he finally starts trusting me, I'll betray him. Basically, he's singing about somebody who he really wanted to trust him, but this person took too long in it and in return, he let this person down. | |
