It's amazing to me what you all think this song is about. The fact is things like suicide and sex is not what they're singing about at all. These guys are singing about reaching a point in life when they finally realize that there's something or someone bigger than they are in the universe. They're finally surrendering to the idea that they can go deeper (take me under) and further by allowing themselves to give up their shallow earthly dreams of money, sex, success, big houses, nice cars, etc. and reaching for something beyond themselves, something eternal. This is a call out to God. They're screaming out "Okay, God, I've done it my way and I'm still miserable. Let's try it Your way."

I've always seen it as relating to someone wanting to commit suicide. Their dreams are gone, and they feel like they have nothing to live for, so their just waiting for something to take them away from this life. That’s what I get from the lyrics and overall feel of the song.

I don't know but I think this song is about an abussive relationship. I guess the speaker is just so sick of it that he/she wants the other person to just kill her and get over with it because he/she knows eventually it'll happen. It makes sense because he/she wants the other person to finish the job/take it all the way.

alright i think this song is about someone wanting a girl to have sex with him. also i don't understand how it could be about suicide. (since when do u call suicide taking me all the way) Could someone please explain how it's about suicide? anyhow the meaning does frusterate me but other than that it's a good song!

this song has a lot of importance to me because everytime i hear it i think of my best friend tyler, may he rest in peace... if you listen to the song you will understand that it is a person on their last breath, longing to die because they think that no one wants or cares for them anymore and no matter how much better it could be they have already given up.

People think it's about sex because it says take me all the way. Be practical if it just said take me all the way you'd think sex too. Also it says now it seems your leaving and we've only just begun. That shows that he's not satisfied as well as And i've been waiting so long shows he's not satisfied. In the beginning it says Now it seems I’m fading All my dreams are not worth saving that's obviously depression. I think this song is about depression personally but if you take the first and second verse away I'd say sex.

i relate alot to this song..to me it means that like you've tried so hard and you've done the best you can, but now you're giving up, that you have nothing left, that you just wanna die and give up. that you're begging for death to come.

I agree with Tiggerbrat 48... Whenever I listen to this song, I think of my best friend Jennifer...who commited suicide last year. " if you listen to the song you will understand that it is a person on their last breath, longing to die because they think that no one wants or cares for them anymore and no matter how much better it could be they have already given up. " All very true...

Ok I don't know how the Hell you could think this is about sex... I mean that doesn't even make sense... Now it seems I’m fading All my dreams are not worth saving I’ve done my share of waiting And I’ve still got nowhere else to go That's a pure sign of depression... Whenever I hear this song I always think of a wave... He's got nothing going for him and he knows things wont get better if he continues to live the way he is living now... But he has no where else to go because he has no motivation to reach new heights and new aspirations... So I think he's saying that he wants to go all the way under this time... No more feeling so low but then slowly coming back up, because he knows he'll just fall down again... So this time he wants to go ALL THE WAY... But that's just what I see....

A kid at a town near mine commited suicude because he ran a car into a building. Great kid, great grades, good life, everything you'd want. He just killed himself, just because of one mistake.. This song reminds me of that.. how some people just have that in there minds. Aside from this song, I think Born like This to me is about how people are just born with that one sense of suicidal in them. My opinion.

I just saw this song performed yesterday with Ben from Breaking Benjamin singing the chorus. WOW!!!!! This song is a million times better than it already is with Ben ripping it up. His voice is absolutely amazing.
