| I dunno if this is right and I doubt that it is, I took the song meaning as sort of a suicide type song, yet he can't got through with it alone, to me it seems that he was looking for a way out but he wanted it to be quick, painless, and he wanted it to be with the one he loved. | |

| Why does everyone have to try and guess what a song means? Don't guess what it means to the band, KNOW what it means to you cause guess what guys, the band a)doesn't give to shits what you guess and b) won't tell you what it means anyway. | |

| Hmm...maybe anarchist, cuz of the red, white, & blue reference, it seems like he's tired of the violence that's in America, or this is a plea for peace since he just wants to get out of America "we'll wake up somewhere new" | |

| This song is amazing...along with every other thrice song. I got the feeling that this song was about war, and how killing one self can bring them to a new place where there is no war. The red white and blue reference points out the US as the place of war, and where all the killing takes place. | |

| I think the fact that red, white, and blue are mentioned along with death that this song is written about the base in which America was built on. He seems to be fed up with the killing and he wants to find the one he loves and commit suicide quick enough so they wont feel it, and when they wake up, they can live together in a better place where war doesnt exist. This song fucking rocks. | |

| i think, from the reference to red, white, and blue, it almost seems like it has to be about america. when truly listening, i feel like it must be about war. and thrice kicks so much ass that it must be more complex. i havent gotten it completely figured out and all...i guess thats why i came to SONG MEANINGS to check out the...song meanings...and to write what i think. just thought i'd throw that in there and give more shit to CMESOEMO | |
