| I just followed the convention that was on the single. It was a typo and was supposed to be "Isn't" but it was printed as "Without". Edit-Track Listings 1. All That's Left [Album Version] 2. Stare at the Sun [Acoustic] 3. Motion Without Meaning 4. All Tha's Left [CD-ROM Video] | |

| This song definitly means that without wars, we can never survive. Someone in my school died today, and I realized that I was sad cuz I didn't know him. I had to find a reason in myself to be sad and learn from his death. Basically Dustin uses war as a methathor for survival. To think that this song is anti-war is pure ignorence. | |

| We obviously aren't as cool as you are Killme. I'll go with this song is about how we need war to continue as a race; as sad as it sounds. He does say at the end "I'll take the life on the easy ship" which I believe means this view is easier than the idealist one of world peace. So maybe he wishes to see the option of peace but knows that human beings are just to cruel for such a thing to exist. "Basically Dustin uses war as a methathor for survival. To think that this song is anti-war is pure ignorence. " To say that is pure arrogance. I would hope Dustin told you flat out this song was anti-war just to make you feel belittled. Learn some humility and don't trash on peoples views. Being open to others views is not difficult; the world could use a bit more of it actually. | |

| I don't think it's about war. I think this song is about having something to believe in, or to stand on. You can't just going around telling people what you believe, without actually knowing what you believe. | |

| Ok, ive got some corrections to the lyrics, they may not be right, but this is what ive seen and heard: What a beautiful way to fake it This sort of graceful defeat WELL PLOT a pattern out on the pavement Sound the siren out through the streets Advance TO perfect nonchalance Do it together with a rifle report Don’t marvel at our confidence It’s troubled, bottled, and above-all deformed Tell me that you wanna stop the war But baby you can't dance if there's no floor Motion isn't meaning It’s just another drug But it's all we've got... What a way to keep it together OUR BLACK THOUGHTS, a prescription for speed We found a freeway that goes on forever Drown the demon in the deep black sea Shield your eyes It keeps burning to the rhythm of the rifle repeating Paralyzed But I gotta keep movin' if I wanna keep breathing Tell me that you wanna stop the war But baby you can't dance if there's no floor Motion isn't meaning It’s just another drug But it's all we've got...we've got nowhere to go I'll take the life on the easy ship WAY UP IN THE CLOUDS FOR A MOMENT I’ll take the life on the easy ship WE ARE THE GODS! like i said, not sure im right, but still. this is a great song, and thrice is an awsome band, you should really just take what you can from the song, and not argue. | |

| this is one of thrice's more straightforward songs..the verses are all pretty basic. the only real metaphors are on the chorus "Tell me that you wanna stop the war But baby you can't dance if there's no floor Motion isn't meaning It’s just another drug But it's all we've got...we've got nowhere to go" you wanna stop the war...dancing with no floor and motion isn't meaning, in my oppinion refers to there being "no floor," no justification behind bush's (whoevers) motion..and comabt being the motion or action in this sense. Ending part is because WE have no choice n drug might mean its just another thing to keep us happy. | |
