	wrong everyone. It's about following god. "..since when did following your heart become a sin, I only want to see the light" It's about wanting to follow into the light of god but i could see why you would all see its about girls, i mean after all the lyrics could be put in many ways. I say let the song be what you want it to be, thats whats good about thrice their songs run so deep, every phrase is complex (newer stuff) but whats great is everyone can see it in their own way and relate to the words.

	Thrice is most definitely a Christian band. They are all Christians, their lyrics are almost all references to God or Jesus.

	This song reminds me of this girl I know... and well, all girls, in a way. ... 'when you can want something you hate, and lie in perfect honesty ' - She always says how she hates asshole guys, but then always dates total assholes, just who are attractive :( 'i only want to see the light when every word makes perfect sense in every single line you read but every single line seems to conflict ' - One minute she seems to really like me and the next she doesn't I guess you can figure out what I mean from those 2 things. I'm not saying this song is about a girl but whoever wrote it might have written it about a girl and was in the same situation as me, or it could be about anybody who says one thing and then does another. or maybe I missed the point.....

	Listen to ^ please- forget about Thrice is/isn't a Christian band. Yes, some of their stuff refers to the Christian God, but even more of their stuff is made out to be about catholics. Someone made The Red Death out to be full of Christian meaning- that song was taken practically word for word from The Masque of the Red Death, and a line from Romeo and Juliet! Personally, I'm a Christian, but I don't take much of Thrice's lyrics as relating entirely to God. So let the Thrice religious controversy drop, and focus on the meaning of this song. No more 'it's about god because thrice is a christian band' crap, ok?
