Intro
guitar 1:

intro: part 1
Guitar 1:
E -----------------------------------------------------|
B -----------------------------------------------------|
G -----------------------------------------------------|
D ---12-12-12-----------9-9-9--------------------------|
A ---12-12-12-----------9-9-9--------------------------|
E ---10-10-10-----------7-7-7--------------------------|

Guitar 2:
E -----------------------------------------------------|
B ---3-3-2-3------2-3-2--------------------------------|
G ------------2-4-------4-2----------------------------|
D ----------0------------------------------------------|
A -----------------------------------------------------|
E -----------------------------------------------------|

you can make this part a little easier by hammering/ pulling off on the fast
parts on the b and g, but if you want to do it exactly the same you have pick
the whole thing through

when the first guitar stops playing chords and starts playing over top of the
second guitar, he does something VERY close to this, but I'm not 100% that this
is exact. it sounds good however and matches up with the other part though.

Guitar 1:
E -----------------------------------------------------|
B -----------------------------------------------------|
G --11-11-11-9-11---------12-11-9----------------------|
D ----------------9-11-12---------12-------------------|
A -----------------------------------------------------|
E -----------------------------------------------------|

Verse: second guitar picks through the intro (palm mute), but plays
3-2-0-2-3-3 on the b string instead of dropping down to the open d

Chorus:

(play twice) both guitars
E -----------------------------------------------------|
B -----------------------------------------------------|
G ----------7-7----------------------------------------|
D --5-5-----7-7----7-7---------------------------------|
A --5-5-----5-5----7-7---------------------------------|
E --3-3------------5-5---------------------------------|

then

guitar 1: you can figure out the palm mutes
E -----------------------------------------------------|
B -----------------------------------------------------|
G -----------------------------------------------------|
D --9-9--7-7--2---5---7--------------------------------|
A --9-9--7-7--2---5---7--------------------------------|
E --7-7--5-5--0---3---5--------------------------------|

guitar 2:
E -----------------------------------------------------|
B -----------------------------------------------------|
G ------------7----------------------------------------|
D --9-9--7-7--7----5---7-------------------------------|
A --9-9--7-7--9----5---7-------------------------------|
E --7-7--5-5-------3---5-------------------------------|

___________________________________________________________________

bridge
guitar 2: play twice
E -----------------------------------------------------|
B -----------------------------------------------------|
G -----------------------------------------------------|
D --------2h4-2-0-0------------------------------------|
A --2-2h4-----------4h5-4h5----------------------------|
E -----------------------------------------------------|

guitar 1: play twice
E -----------------------------------------------------|
B -----------------------------------------------------|
G --------9h10-9---------------------------------------|
D --9-9h10-------12-12-11h12---------------------------|
A -----------------------------------------------------|
E -----------------------------------------------------|
_________________________________________________________________

outro:
E -----------------------------------------------------|
B -----------------------------------------------------|
G -----------7-----------------------------------------|
D --9--4--5--7--7--------------------------------------|
A --9--4--5--5--7--------------------------------------|
E --7--2--3-----5--------------------------------------|

well i can clearly see it as a symbolice song. the revolution he is talking about is one on a mental level in your thinking. the chorus means to drop all expectations and views imposed by others on you. basically saying that no one is wrong really wrong, that to accept is the one thing that is real. adn this song is a plea for this too happen, a calling if you will. i like to write poetry a lot and this is a subject that often comes up with me. when i read the lyrics to this song it came oacroos to me as the same message in some of the poems i had written

Grow up, all of you. All of Thrice's lyrics come straight from Dustin's heart. (however, I believe Riley, the non Christian of the group, wrote this song?) But, it doesn't matter whether they're Christian or not.. they don't preach in their songs. Thrice's songs can be interpreted in any way you want to see them. Whether it be a significant other, Him, a family member, whatever.. whoever is important to you. Whatever the case may be, Thrice's lyrics are all POSITIVE, and that's what matters. If you don't like positive lyrics, then okay. Don't be close minded and bash someone's religion.
