No, I lied. Riley wrote "In Your Hands." I get those two mixed up for the strangest reason.

this is by far one of my favorite songs. i know there are several possible ways to look at this songs but being i am agnostic a religious point of view isnt going to be this spin on it. "Unabashedly pursue the truth that we cannot deny" --in a way it means to boldly and wholeheartedly seek the Truth (with a biggg t) which in my mind is something no one has found yet "a revelation shining through orchestration adonai" --yes adonai is hebrew for god but in my mind this line is more along the lines of coming to understand this afore-mentioned Truth (and i think they want you to find it with the help of their god..but that could be me) "a revolution ultra-blue and a melodic battle cry" --one of the cooler lines in this song..i think it talks of a revolution that is very peaceful (blue is a serene color) and for battle cries to be sung and for them to touch the masses through music, not war "and though you say there'll be no coup, we'll never know unless we try to see it through" --some people believe the world will never change and it wont if no one tries to make it happen.. "and find a different point of view/one where faith is not taboo" --the way we approach differences of faith or religion and the way we see ourselves, others, and the world around us needs to change, we need to become more accepting and open-minded "and we'll all learn to see the world as new" --children tend to be very open-minded and because everything is a first to them they derive joy from every new experience..i think they are saying that once we become more accepting and understanding we will regain child-like wonder and enjoyment from life "sometimes things that we've held true are proved to be an outright lie" --this line can stand alone and make perfect sense but in context i think it means that wars fought on beliefs or things we think to be true are wars that should not be fought because things we believe and hold true one day could be proven to be an outright lie tomorrow "but it seems we always knew in some unspoken lullaby" --i think this line is saying, as children, we knew the Truth but now, as we have grown and become disillusioned by our lives and what we thought they would be we've buried it inside ourselves "i'll see you at the rendezvous, we'll raise our voices to the sky" --this line sounds reallllyyy cool and to me, seems like a call to action to unite as a species and sing :) "and though some say there'll be no coup, we'll never know unless we try" --nothing is going to get any better unless we try to make it better
