| This song is great.....and the allusion to the Salem witch trials is powerful because I'm pretty sure that it's not really about that. The Guitar is great towards the end | |

| It was the Red Scare, I think. Anyway, it wasn't a movie, it was a play called The Crucible by Arthur Miller, and it's fantastic. Anyway, yeah, maybe it's based on that, proabbly. | |

| dude "fadeofflashes" have you ever heard of there song under par. This is like perfect example of that song. You set your self up for thrice to be like perfect on "the artist in the ambulence" but it didnt meet your ecpectation. That doesnt mean the cd is not good, it just shows that you set the bar to high. Plus you have to think about the fact that this is only one of the songs, and not all of the songs on the enw cd. IT is only one of them. WEll yeah, furthermore, i think this cd will be great. Cant wait till it comes out. | |

| Wow guys...for those who just don't dig what you are hearing off their new album, I really can't immagine why. I've only heard three of their new songs, and so far I think their unbelievable. Easily some of the best thrice tunes I've heard, and this has got to be my favorite. | |

| Its about the american government and post 9/11/ domestic and foreign policy. Every one is a terrorist now, and we shouldn't question our government's actions because we would be considered unpatriotice. what they do to thousands of supposed evildoers is "none of our concerns". Now they are sick living in this country, "the air my lungs first loved carves craters from my eyes" don't speak out against it though "pray keep your tongue held tight, or suffer the same fate". Then the GOP says to us "The blood on our black gloves (Iraq) it is none of your concern." See. At least thats what i think. Could be wrong. | |

| Dude, even though it may be about the salem witch trials, and the salem witch trials alluded to the RED SCARE, there is another factor. Both the RED SCARE and the salem witch trials involved the wrongful power of religion. In this song there are a lot of referances as to how religion is viewed as some untouchable power, and of all the heinous crimes that have been comitted in the name of religion. Take it however you want it, but it still iis one of the awesomest songs. The lryics might not seem powerful to you, but the guitar is all I need to hear | |

| he might be putting himself in the shoes of the witch trials.... and just because they hung the witches back then doesn't mean that it is a more recognized (and possibly effective) form of killing them off. too many issues in modern life can be related to salem and red scare. rape/murder/fraud/evasion/war crimes --- etc, etc. this is a fucking great song---- eat some ass if you don't like it | |
