The strumming on the last two lines is not correct. He changes chords too fast to tab out.

| this song is about BEING AMERICAN. the greed of not helping third world coutries who are staving and diseased, with"different gods, darker skin, they are living in sin" we dont have time in our fast paced lives, of 60 hour work weeks and 2 hours of family time, to care about the less fortunate. we're too busy cashing our checks to buy cars and jewels. desensitised to the real pain in the world, we choose to believe we are the best, here, at the top of the world. | |

| Song's pretty clear, I found it to be powerful in the way that they are coming outright and saying this, not being as subtle as they usually are with lyrics. | |

| I think it's about power and money and it make people not care, i think this is the song's meaning from "there are so many reasons for us not to care but iam feeling alright here at the top of the world " at the top of the world means power? and Power causes people not to care about anything? Just a thought. | |

| Yeah, they didn't sell out. Every band's style changes as they mature, well hopefully it does. They've matured so much lyrically and musically...I mean come on, they got some awesome time signatures on TAITA! Go see them in concert again and just listen to how Dustin talks...it's soooo apparent that they are totally humbled by their success. I give them mad props for not falling into the sins of the world that fame and money can draw you to. | |

| yea, losemoney is a fucking asswhore, thrice is not at all selling out. I think they are getting across their views on the world, which happen to be very interesting, in their own way, through their music. I guess they got a little more attention, so they figured they should write a song that gets across their points. I've been to africa and seen this stuff, it's real and I feel like such a greedy american whenever I do something like buy myself stuff. So losemoney is a jerk ass poser who tries to say everyone is selling out just because they have a little more attention. | |
