i love it at the end when its instrumental, then yelling. its the best part, then from there comes Autobiography which also has a long instrumental section to it, sort of showing off their talent for melody and rythm.

some parts of it make me think that it is about continuing to live in the face of despair, actually...but I agree with you all, too.

This song is great because of it's imagery. It has nothing to do with photography, but there are many references to photos. It's great. Just like all Thursday songs. They all paint a picture in your mind.

I agree with the possibility that this song is about an abusive relationship that was ended but you still love the person. Like where it says "Giving up on hope Living without love" I think meaning that You are going on in life without love, and that there is, no love, you give up. Also, when Geoff sings, "You can find compassion here But the page turns too fast" I think it means that when you have finally found something good in your life, you don't have enough time to dwell on that good something and you're left with the pages turning too fast. And finally, "In this blackout inertia will hold our thoughts And the exit sign offers no light to see by Can we cast our shadows alone in the dark? I can't see without you" Also shows that without the person you love, you can't see (meaning you can't be happy), can't move on and "cast our shadows alone in the dark" because you can't let go. Thursday is unmistakably awsome. Even though it feels good to love something as great as Thursday and keep them to yourself, I think everyone should know about them, they are unnameable. You can't even express the way their music can relate to your life and touch you deep down inside. Oh, and the screaming just makes you wan't to scream along with Geoff, getting that inner rage, towards things you don't want to let anyone know about, out. Deffinatly gives their music a little extra personality. "You made the Light so Bright, I was Blind, You stood and waited, I couldn't walk, You called out my name, I was deaf, You grabbed ahold of my hand, I could not feel it, You cryed for me and wept for my pain, I cryed for you because you loved a senseless man."

i believe that last night geoff said that this song is about an abusive relationship that you finally get out off, but you still love the person who abused you.

forever doomed-- "porcelain" is the song about their friend who committed suicide. but i can see how you could interpret that in this song

i think this song relates to what your saying andy, but i also kinda see it as live your life to no regrets, "the exit sign offers no life to see by" to me means that we can't see the exit sign because none of us really no when it will be there, so these little problems you have won't kill you only make you stronger. "When the world comes crashing down Part with it Start again " when life seems like its at the lowest point, say goodbye and start anew. in a non suicidal way

Great song. I think it's clear these guys are talking about life in general, nothing specific. Fell into this hole, ie. we were born by chance, there is no hope in death ("and the exit sign offers no light to see by"). This is existential philosophy, with influences like Nietzsche, Camus, and Sartre. There is no hope in death, but just find hope in life "adjust the aperture to focus on the negative..."). In the end, though, our mind is always subject to death, there is a hole in the world.
