	the first few lines are about a tv turning on with the phospher shooting into the iodine but i think the friend dying works for the rest rupture the wall is more about opening up your heart than it is about war

	I definately agree with what everyone else has said, that the song was a way for him to deal with his friend dying and maybe just try to connect with him. He keeps making references like "you can't save me...I'm turning off". He makes it sound like he is the one with the disease but maybe he is just telling how his friends illness affected him, to the point it felt like he was dying. Like what I Heart Thursday says, I think when Geoff referes to "the capitol" means the hospital. "Someone call the head nurse. She's coming to the capitol To wrap us up and throw us in the dirt With a dream that's turning off." Obviously that means death, like even the nurse trying to help can't do anything. "We are coming to the capitol. The distance between us will rupture. In our hearts the disease will touch us" That could mean like when Geoff visits his friend in the hospital, it finally brings them together.

	I can't believe there are so little comments for this song. I don't really see the suicide refrences in the song. It's about dealing with his friend dying but yet I don't get how the line "Were coming to the capitol" have to do with anything. Could the capitol mean the place you go where you die? Or the hospital room?...

	In an interview Geoff said that one of his friends was dying from a chronic illness. Geoff would meet him sometimes to comfort him and his dying friend would tell him that life makes no sense. The dying friend became shicizophrenic, and would ramble on about life, and this is the beginning of how the song originated.

	I really think that sometimes that Geoff misleads with his song meaning explications. To me. as I try to interpret this song... is Geoff throws in all kinds of side meanings to his songs.. "We're coming to the capitol" repeats over and over and I don't really see how that relates to his friend dying. I just see it as the distance between us (the people) and those in the government and the decision makers in life. We want to make friends, they want to drop bombs and rupture walls and what not. a total stab in the dark besides what Geoff says in that interview.
