| Generally speaking, this song is about sex. More specifically, i think this song is about homosexuals and how they are faced with the overwhelming hate of others because they are different and don't fit in to the stereotypical category of a heterosexual man. "Is this how it feels when you don't even fit into your own skin and it's getting tighter, everyday I'm getting smaller. If I keep holding my breath I'm going to disappear.". I think this is about how the person struggles with himself. He feels like he's less of a person than heterosexuals because of what the media portrays i.e.: sex all over the tv and radio and magazines. He wants it to be okay with the world that he is the person that he is. If he keeps it bottled inside, he's going to lose touch with his true self. | |

| my interpretation of this song is that sex is scary...and how the gender role playing is out of proportion..like seeing a "men's healthcare" magazine..makes me sick...like the media is telling us what we are supposed to look like..and what we are supposed 2 feel..like we have no emotions of our own..only what media says we can feel...with that said..."they stole the love from our lives and put the sex on the radio"...makes me believe sex is one scary mother fucker...you always have to worry if you're doing it well...if not..you're on the front cover of every magazine from here to mars... | |

| Wow atthedrive-in, I like your view. You gave me insight on some of the places I couldn't figure out. Yeah, I do believe that one of the most sacred and private things in life is held on the opposite spectrum in this juxtaposed world. It's blown out, exploited, and considered dirty. It's like yes, maybe the United States is in a sexual revolution. That is fine. We always had a propensity for too much violence anyway. But its what people do. The media takes something that is hot and exploits it to no end just to make a buck. And then it becomes an ends to a means because everything is so saturated with sex and nobody cares anymore. Kudos on fuckingglow for pointing out that everyone is numb and nobody has feelings anymore. Sex has become this drug dripped all around on the billboards and airwaves. You can't escape it. Chances are a child will learn it now... sad thing is, they'll learn it the wrong way. And yes, this song is sensual. And maybe that's no hidden message, but what happened to sensuality? It's so missing. | |

| This is a good song, but I don't think they should have released this song first off of "war all the time". Mainly because it doesn't represent Thursdays sound as a whole. Thursday has a much more heavy sound so if somebody were to hear this song, then check out some of their older stuff (i.e: i am the killer, jet black new year, paris in flames) they'd be surprised at how much screaming they actually do. They should be released "for the workforce, drowning" first...although that IS being released and I'm probably going to be in the video =) but yeah, that's just my opinion. | |
