This song is gorgeous, it's at least a year since I heard it - it was an ex who introduced me to it and we've been split up a year - but it still makes me feel like it's the first time I'm listening to it, like I've just discovered something new Wow that sounds lame! But never mind, I love it!

i think this one, is just how geoff is fed up with the bullshit of the world, eveything in it, and how he wants to just shut it all out and not deal with it, and how if it keeps continuing hes going to explode and not control himself....like a bomb!

Crap I love this song. I get goosepumps when geoff says "dooowwnn" towards the end. I love it when he emphasises the intensity by singing louder in the part, "and the footsteps are getting louder." To me, this song means to hear the world ("do you hear the jet plane yawning miles across the sky?"), hear all it has to offer, but closing it all off ("shut the window, love. keep the world outside") , and not caring about anybody ("I don't want to think about anyone" and "I'm not answering the phone--let it ring"), means people care about him by calling him, but he doesn't want to talk to them. To hear the line at the end, "by a falling bomb", I had to pick up one of my speakers, turn the volume up extremely loud, and listen with all my might to hear him whispering. It almost made me cry the first time I heard it. It's as if he's just spilled his deepest, darkest secret to an untrustworthy person. It's actually a shame this song is so short. IMAGINE IT LIVE! That would be fucken awsome! Thursday never come to Australia, though :-( Best line in the song: "but the footsteps are getting louder, drowning out the sound of the rain, as it knocks on the windowsill"... really makes me think... xxx

Its amazing how he starts the song with a jetplane yawning miles above the sky. And then goes on to say all the people his life isn't yet affecting but soon will. THe sky is falling down, it will all end soon.

last night when i saw them play this live geoff's mic broke and he just cupped his hands over his mouth and sang as loud as he could and everyone in the crowd was singing as loud as they could, it was fuckin intense, intimate, such a connection from the band to the crowd viceversa
