This song is very simple when you get the timimg and rhythym down.
I watched Nick 13 play this song so I am pretty damn sure the tabs are accurate.
This version is in standard tunning; it can also be played in C Em F and G or
B D#m E F#; it's played the way I tabbed it though. The solos are easy when you
get the slight double picking heard in the song, Nick 13 plays very simple
progressions for his solos but still makes it sound cool the way Luther Perkins
did for Johnny Cash.
I'll shut up now and let you play. Questions or commets E-mail me at

| this song is beautiful ~ as previously stated, this song is about time going by too fast.. and his youth is slipping away. - and what's wrong with country anyways? country was the root for a lot of early punk... and i think the old country influence really makes this song what it is. | |

| Nick said that the 'Orchard' is a metaphor for the place he grew up. I believe that he feels the same sentiments as robotnik: life goes too fast. Their are of number of lines in TA songs that are on that subject of life passing by and whatnot. This song is probably all metaphorical for different memories and emotions he went through in this place that he grew up in. And what better setting to use in this early country-ish song then and Orchard? I personally like TA's country like songs. They fit in with their style and are just so peaceful and full of imagery. At least this one is. | |

| I love the picture he paints in your head of the orchard and the moon. u can also seem to feel n smell it. (maybe thats just me) but nonetheless its a beautiful song. I think the countriness of it adds some sort of element, but my friends laugh at me wen im caught listening to it lol. Ju | |
