solo

****Important Notes for the solo:***

Adam uses an Epilady, wah pedal, and delay pedal for this solo but...

1. Since it is rare to own an epilady most the general population of
guitar players
don't have one, so this is tabbed out for playing without an Epilady. I
have written
the solo out for use with just a pick, a wah pedal, and a delay pedal.

2. This is tabbed for guitars with two humbucker pickups, with the
pickup selector
set to treble. I tabbed this on a Les Paul. This is as close as I can
get to the
real sound.

they played this live @ this year's UK Ozzfest and they got Mike Bordin from FNM to play another set of drums. It did not lose it's intensity live though; in fact it was more intense if that's possible!

The ineffable sense of awe this song creates is truly something wonderful. This was a great way to close off Lateralus.

i saw the three songs disposition, reflection, and triad at the colo spgs concert in october, and since i didnt have the deeper understanding of TOOL and Maynard then as i do now, i kinda missed out on the experience and i regret now

Then we are all in agreement. THIS SONG KICKS ASS LIVE! This is my favorite song on the album but it sounds so much better live in concert. I will see them live in Oct. for the 4th time in the past year and so far they have played this every time. I suggest for those who havent seen Tool live, to get tickets and experience the greatest concert ever (especially when they play Triad)

Paradox pretty much has it. The meaning doesn't have to have lyrics though, its what goes on. The first part has a simple repetition then the guitar starts playing chords. After a minute the guitar goes back and the drum starts switching around. Then, again, after another minute the drum goes back to original, and bass playing changes. Then after a minute it goes back to normal. Then, all the instruments play what they were playing when they changed the repetition. Triad, infact is the "Guitar, Bass, and Drum" but it shows the technical playing of Tool's style.

One question: Why the hell do I always see people talking about how this song makes them feel energetic, full of life, and all this positive shit? To me, it emanates violence, anger and very negative feelings.
