TRACY CHAPMAN - TALKING ABOUT A REVOLUTION
This great song is easy to play but a little tricky to sing.
So i tried to write it down in a way the rhythm becomes clear.
Enjoy!

This song is about the struggle faced by indigeanous australians. Tracy talks about her people standing up and fighting for a part of the Australian life that they are missing out on.

I disagree. I think it's a very pratical thing. The working class needs to rise up and take their fair share of the wealth they produce. I'm glad to see this song confirming that.

A very idealistic song about the triumph of the poor, maybe those underpaid people who finally sense some justice. Very impractical idea but hey that's what makes tracy so speacial,eh?

"i gotta feelin', feelings don't lie" has became my motto at the moment. To know you have something to say is one thing but to say it is another, thats the hard part. It's amazing how Tracy Chapman has the ability to create so much emotion in a song.

I used to think this was about the 'revolution' for poor people etc. but now I actually believe it's about apathy! There just talkin about it while putting up with the same old thing!

It's about how hard it is to change the way things are and break the cycle. They want a revolution but it sounds like a whisper because no one listens or hears. And it is hard to take action when all your time is "wasted in the unemployment lines." So to Pauly, it's not about apathy. The song has passion and a true desire to change things, even if it is against the odds. And at the end it takes a turn for the hopeful side.
