| sorry about that i did kind of make it seem like limp bizkit is metal. i was just responding to that one guy saying that metal is just screaming and i told him he sounded like he was talking about limp bizkit, as if HE thought it was metal. yeah i got words a little screwed up there. trust me i defintely think that limp bizkit is NOT metal and fred durst is one of the biggest cocksuckers to walk the earth. i personnally do not think that trapt is metal but i saw one of their videos where they were rocking out like they were metal and i personnally felt they were trying to act metal (most of what i say is from my personal viewpoint.) i personally felt that "Act of Contrition" was about going after and killing someone who sins because the word "contrition" has to do with repentance and total hatred of sinning. but oh well we different viewpoints, that's cool. none of what i said was intended to start a fight with you it was just a response to your post. that's all. | |

| I agree with JLC in part. I think it's about getting together with someone and moving on with your life after dwelling over a past relationship. It makes sense to me at least. The echo is a past fuck up with another person (possibly the same person he's with) that he's trying to get through... so he can "run away" with the person he's with now. | |

| I think perhaps he has kidnapped or killed a former girlfriend/lover and is trying to get past it. Maybe the girl broke up with him and despite his pleaing with her, she would never take him back, so he got to the point where he didn't even waste his time asking why. Then at the end of the song he is reflecting on what he has done and trying to cope with his actions. | |

| first of all wrestlerboy if you think that metal is just screaming then you're one ignorant dipshit.have you ever tried to listen to the lyrics to a metal song? i have heard metal songs talk about war, pollution, politics, drunk driving, warning against suicide, how bad society is, the possibilities are endless. i think more people can realte to these songs than songs about their girlfriends leaving them. more people are interested with problems in the world, not the problems that some rich prep is having with some girl. and trapt isn't popular because everyone can relate to them they are popular because it makes preppy teens at school think they're tough metalheads. it also sounded to me like you were describing bands like slipknot and limp bizkit when you said "screaming and yelling". that doesn't count when you say you've heard metal try listening to some real metal like the band i listed above and then tell me if your precious trapt "band" can play with half the talent these fags have. | |

| master- I agree with to to a certain degree, but in some ways I get the feeling you dont know what your talking about. First of all, limbizkit is NOT metal whatsoever and Fred Durst is a fucking dumbass. I dont get how you think that trapts a metal band at all really, that never even crossed my mind so whatever. And yes, heavy metal bands do have songs about their girlfriends or whatever, for example, Dark Angel has a song called Acts of Contrition, that does have a little to do with the guys problems with a girl. But yeah I do agree with you on how metal isnt just screaming.. Anyways- I dont really listen to bands like this but, my brother has the cd and out of curiosity I heard this song on it. Nice. | |
