Bloody Mess All
Musical Thunder
#1 by Bloody Mess All Over My Clothes at Jan 16, 1979 at 11:30 AM EST
I did this song at school, as a part of a lyric assigment, mostly because I love it. i wasn't sure what it was about but my friend who also loves trapt said something about everytime you're at the top, theres someone pulling you back down. Something like that... BUT personally i think its about a guy and a girl, and the girl wants to end what they have, but she wont tell him why, and he doesnt want her to let him go...he also doesnt want her to be alone...or himself. thats what i reckon...

its about a relationship that is in trouble and lacks communication, when he says we turn the lights off to find our way out means that they settle their problems through sex. he feels they cant communicate ..this is hard for you to show... he doesnt understand why their relationship is this way and he has been blind to the fact that its been this way for awhile because he relizes he had been "asleep" the whole time.

By the way, i just have to say, the lines: "I thought it would be nice to lie down and close my eyes It never occured to me that I am already asleep" are just about the coolest lyrics ever. such a trippy way to think too.

its about a breakup that neither one wants to have, like Wilted bleeding said. like the guy did something that the girl didnt like, but she still loves him, but is really mad at him so wants to breakup no matter how hard it is cuz she still likes him... so its all hard and stuff, but he really loves her and is deeply sorry for whatever he did and doesnt want her to go away... i look at from that angle... though i think the only thing that would cause her to be that mad as to break up with him even though she really likes him stil would be him cheating on her... but it wouldnt make since cuz he loves her to... so maybe there was some mis understanding... anywyas that what i think TRAPT STILL ROCKS OUT LOUD... we gotta see more from them!

i think it's about lovin someone but knowing u can't have them. when it says: Hey I'm pleading, my soul is bleeding I don't want to be left alone, not when I'm right next to you that's where i got how u could b right next 2 someone and love them but still not have them. and when it says: What are you thinking, it's so misleading Is it not for me to know, I think it's just hard for you to show i think the other person makes him think she loves him but isn't able to show it and be with him because she's with another person.

It seems to me that this song is about two people who are still together but it seems to be on the brink. They can't communicate anymore but the person doesn't want it to end and wants to find a way to solve it so that they aren't left alone. The person wants the other to put in the effort as well.

Does anyone have another version of this song? I have one with the same chorus and bridge, but different verses. Weird. It is definitely Trapt, but I cannot find the lyrics anywhere.

I think maybe he's saying that they lost something, and need to get it back, and he doesn't want her just to go and give up on him. He's so afraid of her just leaving him, and he doesn't want to be alone. Maybe he's trying to figure out if she really loves him or not, and is trying to ask her and make sure she doesn't leave him. " turn off the lights so we can find a way out" maybe he's talkign about them falling asleep to get away from somethign in their lives? But then it still haunts him in his dreams bbecuase he says "It never occurred to me that I am already asleep (in your arms)" I LOVE this song, it's so sad

I think this song refers to a break up, and Both the male and female dont want to break up but they do but they both dont have the right words to say to each other*So hard for you to show Why is it hard for you to show? * and *Don't be the one to be let go Don't be the one to be alone Don't be the one to be alone tonight * also he is near her but feels lost with out her, or alone *I don't want to be left alone, not when I'm right next to you * i think, ..erm..ya im probably wrong lol yaaaa

these are the lyrics to the demo version, i just had to grab them off the internet 'cause i'm a little short on time; Laughing faces bleed into me last touched by one It seems I've fallen down into a hole of mistakes One has also fallen away she also chose The same fate as me Hey I'm pleading My soul is bleeding I don't want to be left alone, not when I'm right next to you What are you thinking? It's so misleading If it's not for me to know I think it's just hard for you to show Chapters turning I don't understand the lines Thoughts are kept inside your complex mind I've tried to hold the mistakes Like sand they've fallen away I also chose the same fate as her Hey where are you now what are you feeling There's no doubt in me I thought it would be nice to lie down and close my eyes It never occured to me that I am already asleep Don't be alone
