| Hm, loving Trivium's new sound. My guess as to what the song means just seems like he's trying to say humanity itself is a ticking time bomb. I dunno, prolly wrong. Someone correct me, lol. | |

| i just picked up the cd today, its great but it definetely lacks the in your face mood that ascendancy has which is slightly disapointing but other than that its still a great cd | |

| i think this song is predicting an eminent nuclear war. and how we are 'digging our own grave' by out actions. | |

| Hrvster of sorrow, i'm prettu sure you've either heard the live, or demo version. Studio version is great. Anyway, i think this song is about how humanity will ultimately end up destroying itself. | |

| I belive it is actually their comentary on the destruction war brings about and how it will eventually bring about the end especially for the american people who will end up incurring the worlds wrath on themselves because of a f***ed up president("Fire rains down on the american dream") Also i think the lines "When civilization crumbles man will turn on one another killing true" is a precursor to exactly that no borders, no goverment just complete and utter anarchy. Thus the two heads of the coin are shown. To keep the goverment and have order or remove it and go back to primal instincts and hatreds | |

| Is everyone hearing the live version of this song, such as the one I have, or an actual studio version? Personally, I thought the new album would blow Ascendancy away due to the hype sorrounding it(which was mainly produced by the band itself) and also because there would be no screaming (which I do not strongly dislike, but I'm not a huge fan of either). But after hearing this song, I am afraid The Crusade may be a massive disappointment. I will not judge too quickly and let all of my hope be extinguished(it could very well be that the song just sounds like shit on my live version) but to me it sounds just like a wannabe Metallica that completely and utterly fails...I'll wait to hear the new album to fully decide but if anyone did in fact hear a studio version, let me know. | |

| Basicly the song about how all the wars we had will come down and strike down on us all. Soon the weapons we created will kill us all. The very poison we creaeted. Good song! | |

| I don't think people reazlie - he had to stop screaming. He fucked his voice up a little while back. He's unable to scream. It's not like he had to option to try something different, he had to. Even if you see them live, he won't scream. Corey still does, but Matt doesn't. His singing will just have to grow on you. : ) Please spread this though, there are many people out there bashing matt because they don't know. | |
