| amazing lyrics, imagery and especially tune. this is sung with so much emotion. i especially love the lines "light up my life like a very last cigarette" and "keep blood on the inside and nowhere else"... references to suicide/self harm? if anyone knows the meaning of this song please interpret for me. | |

| Oohh re-reading it now, the bit about 'I take it back yeah, whatever I did yeah, I didn't mean it; I was only joking', that could be him apologizing when he accidentaly told her that he loved her or something like that. Which would explain why she would be leaving the hotel. The blood could indeed be a reference to suicide/self-harm, because he feels that bad about the whole thing. First because he doesn't want to feel what he feels (love for the woman) and then because he's told about his feelings and she left.. | |

| This song really is a very negative take on the love song, it seems like the first verse is about being in love with somebody and just being content with their company and nothing else, saying how she "lights up my life like a very last cigarette" but by the end its very different, he says "look at yourself, theres nothing in there". it also seems like the line "I take it back yeah whatever I did yeah I didn’t mean it" is very mocking and throwaway, although ironic because its sung in such a serious way I think its just a song about a relationship that isn't going anywhere and has left him frustrated and angry | |

| The video for the song sees the two members playing guitar in a wooded area. The sun rises and, as it hits them, they disintegrate ("Internal combustion can that really happen?"). This and the grave stone and blood references, give the song a 'vampire' feel. So, I see the song as regret after achieving something which didn't turn out to be as expected. Not quite sure how to relate that to the title, though. | |
