Tuning:standard

ok here we go! I looked at the other tabs to this song and, even though they are primarily
correct, I think another needs to be done..
This is the way I perform this song. MAKE SURE when you play this song that it is very fluid,
being that it is meant as a acoustic style tune.
check it out.

Intro:
F#min D A B
e|----------2-2-------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------3-3-(0)-2-2-(0)-4-4-4^2-----------------------------------|
G|--2-2-(0)-2-2-(0)-2-2-(0)-4-4-4^2-----------------------------------|
D|--x-x-(0)-----(0)-2-2-(0)-4-4-4^2-----------------------------------|
A|--4-4-(0)-----(0)-0-0-----2-2-2-------------------------------------|
E|--2-2-(0)-----------------------------------------------------------|

Notice that the F# is in triad shape, giving it a percussive feel. This shape also gives
it depth, and almost pedal sound. Definitely play the other chords in the position shown
for the intro. Notice the pull off from B back into F#min, just for a little frill. You
can actually continue that pull off into an Emin just by playing open strings after the
F#min. That might be a little too much, though. Your call.

Verse:

The main verse consists of the same chords as the intro, just different shapes.
No frills though. You don't want to take to much from your singing(or your vocalist,
whichever applies).
F#min D A B
e|--------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------(0)---------------------------------------------|
G|--2-2-(0)-7-7-(0)-6-6-(0)8-8----------------------------------|
D|--x-x-(0)-7-7-(0)-x-x-(0)x-x----------------------------------|
A|--4-4-(0)-5-5-(0)-7-7-(0)9-9----------------------------------|
E|--2-2-(0)---------5-5----7-7----------------------------------|

Pre-Chorus:

This is the easy part, any time I have an Emaj and a Amaj together, I just postion them traditionally.
I won't show the exact rythym, this should be played using your own natural rythym.

E play freely and openly until A
e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------2------------------------------------------|
G|-1------------------------------2------------------------------------------|
D|-2------------------------------2------------------------------------------|
A|-2------------------------------0------------------------------------------|
E|-0-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Chorus:

The chorus is the same as the verse.

There you go. Now just go to Google and type in "Tommy Tutone Jenny 8675309 lyrics" and
you will be set.

For anybody that is following my tabs, please contact me and let me know if I am helpful
in any way. I have performed for many years, mainly just at open mics and the beach or wherever
they'll let me play..so, I've learned a lot of covers and have come up with unique ways
to play them. Contact me and let me know what you would like to see.
