Sorry it's not entirely complete, but it should be plenty to work from if you listen to
the disc a thousand times.

Note that the main chords (D, G, C, Em) can all be played in their barre form for more
control over the distortion. Also note that in Riff 2, G is substituted for Dsus2 if
played in barre chord form.

D Dsus2 C Em
e--x-----x------x-----x
B--7-----8------5----5
G--7-----7------5----4
D--7-----7------5----x
A--x-----x------x----x
E--x-----x------x----x

Remember this stuff is not set in stone in any way, shape or form. Experiment. It's
fun. Just not with chemicals...

Hey, anybody ever heard the European version of "Live at Red Rocks?" In the middle of this song, they slow down and Bono does a few lines from "Send in the Clowns, but he changes it to "send in the crowd." Any idea where I can get a copy of that. My old EP just won't work anymore.

"Send In the Clowns" was written by Stephen Sondheim for a musical, but the most well-known version is by Judy Collins. Bono's lyrics in Under A Blood Red Sky are "Why must I hide from myself, when I need a crowd? Bring on the crowd. I love the crowd."

Actually, written about the Bill Cosby hosted children's show, "The Electric Co". While in a cult run by "Holy Joe", Bono and the gang were forced to watch it daily.

bono still sings the "send in the clowns" line when theyve playd this on the curent (2005) tour! aswell as the "despite all my rage i am still just a rat in a cage" line from 'Bullet With Butterfly Wings' by smashing pumpkins. which ties in with the psychiatric treatment idea...

this song is what bono means when he talks about "you have to have a rage inside of you to play music like this" in the early 80's edge actually broke bono's nose onstage during this song. great during vertigo

I'm in love w/ this song. It's definately the best song on Boy, and I think that Edge's backing vocals convinced me to buy the song on iTunes.
