IN A LITTLE WHILE
Artist: U2
Album:"All that you can't leave behind"
I think this is so pretty close to exactly how they do it:
Riff1: (Use a low overdrive)
A D7 D A
e---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
b----------5-------------7-------------------7h8--8p7--7-----------7--------------------
g-------------6-------------6-------------7--7----7----7-----------7--6-----------------

a---------------------------------------------------------------------7----------------7
E-----4/5----------------------------------------------------------------------5--------
repeat and...
Verse (alternate riff1 and riff1+):
In a little while
surely you'll be mine.
In a little while...I'll be there.
In a little while
this hurt will hurt no more.
I'll be home love.
When the night takes a deep breath
and the daylight has no air.
If I crawl, if I come crawling home,
will you be there?
Chorus:
Bm G(at the 10th fret) D A (x1)
uuuh uh........
Verse (alternate riff1 and riff1+)
In a little while
I won't be blown by every breeze;
friday night running to sunday on my knees.
That girl, that girl! she's mine.
Well, I've known her since,
since she was
a little girl with spanish eyes.
When I saw her first in a pram they pushed her by.
Oh my, my how you've grown.
Well it's been... a little While
Chorus:
Bm G D A
uuuh uh...
Bm G
uuuh uh..
D A
slow down my beating heart
Bm G
A man dreams one day to flight.
D A
A man takes a rocket ship into the skies.
Bm G
He lives on a star that's dying in the night
D A
and follows in the trail the scatter of light.
Bridge (riff1)
Turn it on, turn it on, turn me on
Chorus:
Bm G
uuuh uh...
D A
slow down my beating heart.
Bm G
Uuhh uh...
D A
slowly, slowly love.
Bm G
slow down my beating heart.
D A
slowly, slowly love.
Bm G
slow down my beating heart.
D A D
slowly, slowly love.

| i wish people wudnt try to turn a beautiful song (even if it was born of a hangover). it says: and I've know her SINCE she was a little girl with Spanish eyes. that to me means he knew her as a child they pushed her by, and now hes got the chance to meet her. it could even be about his wife ali cos they grew up together | |

| it's a bittersweet song about being away from someone you love and realizing how much time has passed. It's a longing to go home and rest after everything... slow down my beating heart. | |

| Nerdythewell, you need to go away, this song is not about having sex with a little girl, it's a metaphor for a hangover that you wake up with and the night before seems like a distant memory...it's about being gone for so long...the little girl is his daughter by the way, the one with in the pram and with the spanish eyes, you guys have no idea what you're talking about, epecially my buddy nerdythewell | |

| Maybe he was a kid when he saw the little girl being pushed by in the pram. There is no reason to suppose a disgusting interpretation where none is warranted, especially given U2's very public displays of their collective moral compass. Sheesh. Dirty minds. | |
