for gods sake not every song is about drugs. This one clearly has nothing to do with drugs.

its an amazing song....definetly one of my favourites....but technically he didnt turn out like his dad because his dad didnt have time for his kid but at the end the kid didnt have time for his dad and when he says "and the kids have the flu" s he is obviously there for his kids unlike his dad

uhhh no deffinatley not drugs cats cradle = kids game silver spoon = nursery rhyme "and the dish ran away with the spoon" its just an allusion to something embodying childhood, that which the father missed in his son

Vampy made a clear point. I just love the song, its so bittersweet, so typical of father/son relationships. One of the best songs I have ever heard.

bongo is right, absolutely no connection with drugs u dumbasses....................its clearly about a dad touching his son inapropriately!
