| is there anyone else out there who simply interpreted the song as a man telling a woman how he feels about her?! i don't get any hint of cheating or drugs or whatever, could be just a simple love song. sometimes people miss the obvious because they're so concerned about looking for a *hidden* or *deeper* meaning, maybe this is one where you don't! 'tis possible, yanno | |

| Nothing else Uncle Kracker does is along the same lines of this song, which he himself called a one time homage to the Motown Scene. It just happened that this song, ended up becoming a hit single, the one that got his name mainstreamed. As for the song itself, I would believe either or both theories, drugs or an affair. Then again isn't being with a drug addict sort of like being with someone who cheats? | |

| I have to agree with everyone. When I first hear it I think it is about a woman cheating, but then it does sound like she is doing drugs, because it says that "he" will be the one to put her to bed at night, and that he "Swims through her veins like a fish in the sea", so it could possibly be about both. Who knows? I guess Uncle Kracker does. | |

| i think it is the other man singing the song....hes saying that it doesnt matter how in love they are, hell never be able to give her everything she needs except for love, so she shouldnt stop cheating on her husband...but at the same time dont leave her husband | |
