| Yeah...this song could be about God...but knowing that Dallas' Fiancee died in his arms, it's obviously about that. She died before he got the chance to really grow up...the spoken word parts make me want to cry... "So cry yourself to sleep...this is about broken hearts...this is about me" That's so depressing. The last line is about him wishing that he could just die because he hates himself and wants to be with her. | |

| this song made me want to cry when i heard the lyrics. it's just so close to something that happened to me. i just want everyone to know that this band isn't just any ordinary band. this isn't their only song that "hits close to home". don't overlook these guys. they're too good. | |

| thank YOU heartsablaze you got it right.....alone in December is quite simple....Christmas is in December, Jesus' birthday and how he feels alone... but then again this song could be talking about a girl, because he says "December stayed the same, nothing ever changed, but you" i can't figure out if he is talking about and ex that got out of the will of the lord or a friend, this song is ambiguous for a reason....so that everyone can relate... and to me more than anything this song is talking about how you hang out with a crowd but when you get saved and start going to church they ditch you or you see the wrong in their life and have to find new christian people which is hard to do, and is probably why he feels alone... | |

| This was the first song of underoath I heard, and I haven't stopped listening to them since . I think that the ending is just about how we try so hard to be like christ, but yet we cant even come close to how he is. And with the little that we do to try to be like him we sometimes feel like failures. Maybe that doesnt make sense. | |

| everything about this song is amazing. its so beautiful and so full of emotion. this passed march i was driving the car that killed the person i cared so much about. i can just lie in bed listening to this song and no matter how much i cry it feels good to have someone explain what im feeling... i dont know if that makes sense but it sounds right. i love underoath. thanks for the great music. | |

| okay, to all you people who say it's about god, just because their a christian band, it doesn't mean it's about god, i don't think it has anything to do with god, i think it's all about his fiance and how she died in his arms,i don't mean to copy you 7under7oath7, he's ALONE cause she's gone, december is when she died, it has nothing to do with jesus and how he's alone without him, that's just dumb, definitely not a song about religion | |

| well knowing that this is a christian band, and knowing Tim(bass) i dont think that it is about a girfriend or fiansee. The title "alone in December" i think means that he feels alone or without God in a bad part of his life as he describes as December. what's faith if i can't believe it's everything a cure, but i mike it a disease god take me because i hate me. I think this last line sums up the whole song because i feel the same exact way. Being a christian you feel responsible for other people going to hell if you dont witness to them and you can make this faith a disease if all you think about is the guilt. | |

| thsi is such a great song. i think its definately about Dallas' fiance because she died in december (see song from Cries of teh Past that has the date) and all the stuff in the song. but the orange i choked makes a good point that its not so clear so that everyone can relate. like blinding sight said, this is not just any band. they are a great band with the right groundings to create emotionally driven, awesome songs. listen to underoath. Jesus saves. | |

| you can try to convince yourself that songs aren't about god but dallas taylor the screamer on this album is very faith focused which is fine i guess.. | |
